I popped into Stonehaven (just South of Aberdeen on the East coast of Scotland) on the way to Aberdeen. It's an interesting, historic fishing port, the harbour is particularly fine..

The intention was to get some lunch, but before I did I came across the boardwalk and it's intriguing sculptures. There are about a dozen of them and as far a I have been able to find out the artist is unknown...

I did manage to get lunch at 6 North (part of the Marine Hotel)... highly recommended, good food and an excellent range of real ales (it has it's own brewery).
